Ashika Kurki
President
President and co-founder of our company, a leader with a wealth of experience in business administration. Trained in the field, she has worked as an office assistant and sales associate, honing her skills in managing and growing a business.
In addition to her business acumen, she is also a talented musician, having taught music for many years and performed on stage at cultural and social events. With her unique blend of business expertise and artistic talent, she guides our company towards success.
Vijay Kurki, P.E.
Vice President & Principal Engineer
Vijay formed Sunpro in 2019 with Ashika. He is a seasoned civil and environmental engineer with over 30 years of experience. With a BS in Civil Engineering, an MS in Hydraulics and Water Resources, and an MS in Environmental Engineering (Texas Tech University), he brings a wealth of knowledge and diverse project expertise to our company.
Starting his career as a field engineer, he held positions as a hydrologist, staff engineer, environmental professional, supervisor, manager, and director before co-founding Sunpro. He demonstrates a clear commitment to quality and exceptional customer service and his leadership style embodies Sunpro’s core value of accountability, respect, and empowerment.
Project Management & Staff
Emmanuel Briseno
Project Manager
Emmanuel is a Project Manager and environmental compliance specialist who has over six years of experience in air permitting for the oil and gas industry. He has a BS in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, which gives him a solid science background and the ability to work with large datasets.
He has prepared air permits and Emission Inventories for major and minor source upstream and midstream facilities, as well as annual GHG reporting under the MRR Subpart W.
Jocelyn Flores
Project Manager
Jocelyn has a B.S. in General Physics from The University of Texas at Austin and more than 5 years of experience in the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry.
Jocelyn has handled various projects related to air permitting and compliance, such as major and minor source NSR permits, M&A projects, GHG MRR Subpart W, and annual emission inventory reporting. She combines a strong science background and database management skills to effectively implement environmental management systems.
Robert Sanchez
Project Manager
Robert holds a BS in Electronic Systems Engineering from The University of Texas A&M. He has more than 5 years of total work experience including aerospace manufacturing and engineering projects.
For the past two years, Robert has been involved in different project kinds in upstream and midstream segments of the oil and gas industry, handling various air permitting and compliance projects and demonstrating his skill in handling complex regulatory scenarios.
AJ Kurki
Business Development Manager
AJ is a dynamic individual with a bachelor’s degree in business and a passion for sports. After playing tennis for a division 3 team in his first year of college, he pursued a career as a tennis pro and coach for 3 years after graduation.
Now, he brings his expertise to our small business, managing both business development and accounting and finance. With excellent interpersonal skills and an outgoing personality, he excels at building relationships and driving growth.
